Anti Aging Oils Review

The Whats:

Oils either topically or ingested are associated with anti aging techniques to enhance protection of the skin and to supplement diets. This method in its simple form is to protect the skin barrier or bolster your diet using essential oil products that are found in our bodies.  The anti aging oils and or fish oil that many use are made to protect us in this way.

The Whys:

The core concepts are simple, these products are meant to protect, prevent and be used to stop or slow aging effects. You have to remember our bodies, our skin and our diets are exposed every day to germs, allergens, irritants, free radicals and radiation. These can penetrate and they can also speed the breakdown of our natural body defenses against such attacks. A healthy skin barrier, a healthy diet not only protects us from this breakdown but some studies have shown that using these products may help in protecting us or preventing these radicals from penetrating and yes possibly slowing the aging we all will experience naturally.

Everyday your body loses vitamins. The most essential are:

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Yeast (as found in B vitamins)
  • Coenzymes

Using common sense if our body is shedding these vitamins and we need them for a healthy lifestyle then we should want to replenish them! Many of us do so by eating foods but imagine as we age these vitamins are needed even more to slow the aging process.

This is where anti aging oil and fish oils come into play. For some diet isn’t enough, far be it from me to even suggest if just intake via food is enough at all. This is why we use oils to revitalize our skin, to create that barrier filled with the vitamins it needs and why some take fish oil or other digested oil products to bolster their diet and use that protective attribute.

The Hows:

Perfumes, allergens found in preservatives, mineral oils and silicones are the greatest threats to our skin barrier anywhere on the body. Anti aging oils are used mainly on the skin, but can also be used in your hair or upon nails as well.  These oils are used to treat specific conditions and or to use an active agent to its best quality to improve, prevent or protect.  Some great examples are Linseed Oil for acne and dry skin or Argan Oil as a moisturizer and hair re-vitalizer.  Results vary mind you with these varying products but studies have shown that anti aging oils can help in many facets when it comes to skin problems or for simple anti aging protection. One word to the wise as well, everyone’s skin is different so before you decide to use any anti aging oil products refer to the products label and your doctor as well for assistance.

Fish Oils on the other hand provide essential Omega 3’s, DHA acid and EPA acid. These derived from the tissue of certain fish like salmon and flounder have proved to help in many clinical situations. In fact studies have shown that Fish Oil has shown promise in mental health ailments like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Other studies focused on cancer and cardiovascular diseases have shown small benefits yet tests continue to possibly find out more. This anti aging oil regimen is to be used with care though. It’s suggested that low doses be used and for you to talk to your doctor before taking any Fish Oil supplement.
